Eastern Massachusetts – A company in the greater Boston area with 32 employees does most of its work in the electronics sector….They are a fabrication house, machining, welding, grinding, especially of large products…I have been dealing with this company for at least 5 years now….The plant manager is the main contact there for me, but I have a great repoir with everyone from purchasing to the owner…… They do prototype to volume production, they do hold inventory for some of their current customers, but Im sure thats on a case by case basis.. A personal referral and meeting would be most beneficial for more in depth information…They are great company to do business with and they have a lot of capabilities. They currently do business on a national scale and do have their own pickup/delivery vehicles for regional expediting.
They are looking for a tool and die maker, as of July 22, 2008. Things are getting to be very busy for this company and indicated some signifigant growth over the next few months.

Central CT – I have been doing good business with a logging equipment company in CT for close to 5 years. My contact is the owner of the company. They manufacture all their products here in CT. The products they make are sold to distributors, retailers, and consumers, nationwide .The company is small, 3 persons on staff, but all have numerous years in manufacturing including the owner. It is a young company; they do numerous trade shows to get their products noticed. Their needs at this point are solidifying good distribution, material suppliers, and quality manufacturing services. There might even be a building need in the not too distant future.
They are a growing company even in this economy, They are currently looking for a full time employee on the production floor. Their expectation in the next month is for things to pick up considerably with people getting ready for winter and with the high price of oil, lots of people will be burning wood.
Hope this company is a good fit…
Thanks

Central Ct.- For my referral today, I have a medical instrument manufacturer in central connecticut. They deal in materials from aluminum to titanium. They are a midsize operation. I have been working with the production manager there for over almost 4 years, he is my main contact, I also have a good relationship with the people in the quality deptartment.
It is a 45 person shop, they deal quite extensively with the major medical instrument and implant companies. They do numerous types of medical instruments and implantable devices. In speaking with them yesterday, they will be having a big influx of new work in the 3rd quarter.
These are pretty good results for a company that does not have a sales department. With that new work coming in, they are looking for CNC operators and quality control personell. In addition they also do a lot of plating, anodize and passivation make up a good part of their outsourcing surface treatment needs…contacts in this area would be helpful to a company of this nature.
Hope this company is a good fit.
Thanks, and stay cool

Western Massachusetts – This company has been in business for almost 20 years, I believe it is the oldest and biggest network and communications company in the area. My contact is in technical sales and does mostly institutional projects, but I know they will accept non commercial work also….My contact’s client list is almost based solely on networking with people. I have known him for 15 years. They have two locations in Western Mass.
The basics of their company is; Network installations, Phone Systems, Voice Mail, wireless communications, consulting, and audio/visual.
I recommend this company for their products and service, but I strongly advise face to face conversation with my contact for what he can bring to the table in other capacities.
